Meet Your Coach

Mel, the founder of RISE, is a fully qualified Personal Trainer, Pre & Post Natal Specialist Coach, Nutritionist (general population and Sports nutrition), Health & Wellness Coach/Nutritional Counsellor, and Human Movement Specialist. With a background in Psychology, Mel specializes in high-end, fully customized programming for the general population. She believes that empowerment through education is paramount in all programming, and is dedicated to helping you make stronger, better, and healthier decisions.

Mel's own fitness journey started late in life. She was once a notorious yo-yo dieter, always signing up to the latest workout challenge. After the birth of her last baby, she was determined to lose the weight fast and signed up to an 8-week challenge. Although the weight fell off, she was left feeling starved, cranky, tired, and worst of all, she destroyed her hormones, resulting in amenorrhea. Mel realized that she couldn't keep going and gradually began eating "normal foods" again. Of course, over the next six months, she managed to gain back all of the weight and then some!

Fast forward a year, and something finally snapped. Mel decided to join her local gym and got herself a personal trainer. She gradually gained confidence in the gym, in the weights room, and not only lost 20kg in 6 months, but gained so much strength. Her newfound passion for fitness was ignited, and she knew that she needed to help others who are in the same vicious cycle that she was in for so long. Mel educated herself on counting macros and nutrition, watched hundreds of hours of exercise form videos online, and then finally became a registered Personal Trainer, Accredited Nutritionist, Health & Wellness Coach, Human Movement Specialist, and Pre & Post Natal Specialist Coach.

*One on one personal training available in the RISE private PT Studio (Balmoral)*

Our one-on-one personal training sessions are tailored to your specific needs and goals. We provide a safe and private environment for you to train, with a focus on empowering you to make stronger, better, and healthier decisions.

*Online Personal Training*

We offer the option of full online personal training or a mix of online & in-person training, tailored to suit your life! Our online personal training provides you with the flexibility to train where and when it suits you, with the support and guidance of our experienced coaches.

*Nutrition*

We offer nutrition consultations available in person or via phone or facetime. Our tailored nutrition plans are designed to suit your own individual needs, whether it be weight loss, weight gain, sports performance, or improving general health.

*Specialist coaching for pre & post natal women*

We offer specialist coaching for pre & post natal women available in person at the RISE private PT Studio Balmoral. Our pre & post natal coaching is designed to support you through this special time, with a focus on your specific needs and goals.
