With over three decades of experience, our founder, Kathie Kain, has established a reputation for excellence in the health and fitness industry. As an accredited exercise physiologist and therapist, Kathie specialises in remedial health and fitness management for the mature woman, particularly in relation to menopause-related matters, as well as anyone aiming to reduce the impact of illness or injury. Our services extend to men and women of all ages and fitness levels, from top-level competitive sportspeople to those who are looking to make a noticeable and effective improvement to their physical health.
Our Services
At Kathie Kain's Exercise Physiology and Personal Training, we offer a wide range of services tailored to meet your unique health and fitness needs. Our services include:
- Exercise Physiology: As a fully accredited exercise physiologist, Kathie can help you address health and fitness issues related to injury, chronic illness, or ageing. With an appropriate referral from your doctor, you can claim for up to five of these consultations per year on Medicare and some health funds. Kathie makes a detailed assessment of your goals and requirements and tailors a remedial exercise and lifestyle regimen for you to follow.
- Personal Training: Kathie works with men and women of all ages and fitness levels. Our sessions range from effective weight-loss plans to training for top-level competitive sports and activities. Clients for fitness training often keep regular ongoing sessions or can be provided with a take-home regimen.
- Therapy: Kathie is a qualified therapist and uses her skills to gain insight into and work with the issues that may be blocking a client from achieving their full transformation potential.
Our studio/gym is located in a quiet garden setting in Drummoyne, in Sydney's Inner West. Its facilities include weights, treadmills, cycles, rowers, a pool, and a bathroom/changing room. Most private health funds will offer rebates for some of our services, and with a referral from your GP, you can claim a rebate for some consultations from Medicare.
Our Achievements
Kathie has had many success stories with her clients. Some of her notable achievements include:
- Helped a 77-year-old man back to full mobility following double knee-reconstruction surgery.
- Assisted a lady in her 20s to manage the impact of fibromyalgia and an auto-immune connective-tissue condition through a bespoke fitness package.
- Helped a lady to lose 31kgs, going from weighing 121kgs to 90kgs, and going from needing a knee reconstruction to only minor surgery.
- Assisted clients with fitness training, including a champion female bodybuilder, a young mother who went from being an unfit 90kgs to 73kg and able to run 7km in 38 minutes, a lady who started with low fitness and is now a mountaineer with several of the world's highest peaks to her credit, and the members of an 18-foot skiff team.
