Savour the Flavours of Italy in the Heart of Sydney

At Machiavelli Ristorante Italiano, we are proud to have been serving Sydney's culinary scene since 1988. Our story began when Giovanna Toppi, a passionate home cook, opened the doors of our iconic Italian restaurant, bringing with her a suitcase full of lessons learned from her mother in traditional Neapolitan cuisine. Since then, we've become one of Sydney's most beloved restaurants.

Our Passion for Food

Our passion for food has never changed. We source only the freshest ingredients available, locally whenever possible, to prepare dishes bursting with flavour. Our Executive Chef, Laurent Cambon, infuses his Michelin-star experience into every menu item he creates. Our menu features dishes that showcase the finest produce, including organic options whenever possible. Our seafood is delivered twice daily from the Sydney Seafood Markets and converted into beautiful dishes that sing with flavour.

Our History

Under the helm of Giovanna, our restaurant became a staple of the Sydney culinary scene. After 28 years, Giovanna sold the restaurant to Nicolae Bicher, an ex-Olympian with a focus on growing international produce. Nicolae has maintained what he loved most about this historic restaurant, ensuring that our commitment to quality ingredients and exceptional service continues.
