Company History
Harveys Newcastle was established in 1970 to cater to the growing demand for air conditioning and related industries in this thriving metropolis. The company's origins can be traced back to 1961 when Harvey Air Conditioning was formed in Parramatta. This pioneering company undertook significant contracts, including David Jones in Parramatta and the Parramatta Courthouse, as well as domestic installations through its agency with Carrier.
In 1967, the company expanded to incorporate centrifugal and axial flow fan manufacturing, leading to the formation of the Fan and Blower Company of Australia. These fans were essential for industrial and mining projects. By 1970, Harveys Newcastle was established as a separate entity, focusing on the manufacture of sheet metal work and all air conditioning and dust extraction installations.
Early projects undertaken by Harveys Newcastle include BHP No 2 Blast Furnace, Liddell Power Station, and many telephone exchanges around Newcastle. Today, Harveys Newcastle is conveniently located in Carrington and is highly regarded for its air conditioning and manufacturing capabilities.

Poor Experience
The reviewers discussed their experiences with companies that allegedly provide quotes, but ultimately fail to follow through. One reviewer, Tim Higgs, had a particularly negative experience. He found it frustrating that companies would promise to provide quotes, only to disappear without contact. Instead of providing a clear refusal or explanation, the companies would simply ghost the reviewer. This lack of transparency and communication left Tim feeling disappointed and annoyed.
Lack of Follow-Through
The reviewers noted that the companies in question seemed to lack commitment to providing quotes. Instead of being upfront about not being able to assist, they would wait for customers to initiate contact and then disappear. This lack of accountability and reliability can lead to wasted time and resources for customers who are genuinely interested in the service or product being offered.
Disappointment and Frustration
The reviews suggest that the experience of dealing with companies that promise quotes but do not deliver can be very disappointing and frustrating. Customers may feel like they are being taken for granted or toyed with, which can damage trust and create a negative impression of the company. It is essential for companies to prioritize transparency and follow-through to maintain a positive reputation.
