At Bengal Curry House, we are passionate about serving delicious Bengali cuisine in a warm and clean atmosphere. Since 1981, our family business has been dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience to our patrons in beautiful Brisbane.
Our Story
We first opened our doors at Woolloongabba in 1981 and relocated to the beautiful Wynnum foreshore in 1999. Our owners, Ruhul and Vanessa Amen, have continued to serve consistently delicious Indian cuisine in true family style and spirit. Recently, their son, Sharif, has taken the position of head chef, and their daughter, Mareena, is leading the front of house staff in service excellence. With 28 years of experience, we have produced our iconic and delicious cuisine while maintaining a fundamental respect for traditional methods and flavor.
Our Recipes
Our recipes are created in our kitchen with all our sauces and spice blends prepared in-house. Your meal will be individually prepared to your liking using chicken breast fillet, the finest red meats, tiger prawns, or fresh vegetables. We do not use any artificial flavoring, MSG, meat tenderizers, or wheat flour to thicken curries. We use only the very best ingredients, buying market fresh herbs and ensuring our spices are of the highest quality. All our curries are cooked in fresh vegetable oil.

We offer a wide range of delicious curries and Indian dishes, including Rezalas, Rogan Josh, Bhoona, Shahi Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, Madras, Butter Chicken, Maroti, Vindaloo, Sri Lanka, Vegetarian Samosa, Chicken Tikka, Pakoras, and Meat Samosa. Our menu is designed to cater to all tastes and dietary requirements. We also offer a special menu for our patrons who want to enjoy the delights of India at an affordable price. We do not charge for corkage, making our patrons' dining experience more affordable.
