VALS is a community-controlled co-operative society providing legal services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Victoria. Our services include family, civil, and criminal law, as well as advocacy for police and prison accountability, and community legal education. We also provide referrals, advice, duty work, and case work assistance to our clients. Our team is made up of experienced lawyers, social workers, and other support staff who are dedicated to supporting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in Victoria.
