The Village Cooks

Welcome to The Village Cooks, a space dedicated to sharing the art of good food. At The Village Cooks, we believe in the power of seasonal, fresh, and simple ingredients, inspired by our Italian heritage. Led by Angela, a trained pastry chef, cook, recipe writer, food blogger, and teacher, our teaching studio aims to share the love of good food with our students.

Located in Sylvania, in the Sutherland Shire, just 25kms south of Sydney, our kitchen is equipped with the latest technology to ensure the smooth running of our classes. Our small classes, between 4-8 people, offer a personalised experience for our students. Our classes and workshops cover a wide range of topics, from baking and pastry making to handmade pasta, preserving, seasonal Italian home-style cooking, and more. All our classes are interactive, hands-on, and finish with a delicious meal, where we eat the food we make.

Cooking Classes

Our classes are designed to provide a personalised experience for our students, with a maximum of 8 students per class. All our classes are interactive, hands-on, and finish with a delicious meal where we eat the food we make. Our kitchen is equipped with two Miele wall ovens, one large freestanding Ilve electric oven, and a gas stovetop. Each class includes morning tea on arrival, all ingredients required for the class, use of all equipment, refreshments throughout, one-on-one tuition, and takeaway typed-up notes and recipes. All our classes are inclusive of the following features:

Students learn about the food culture and traditions of different Italian regions while cooking and eating delicious, authentic Italian food. Angela's Italian Regional Workshops have been popular since their inception, with students returning for more.
