Benwerrin Counselling is an Accredited Mental Health Social Work service supporting clients in the Lower Hunter Valley. We understand that reaching out for help can be difficult, but we want you to know that it's okay to ask for support. Our trained and experienced mental health professionals are here to listen and provide effective treatment to you or someone you know.

Our Services

We offer a range of counselling services, including focused psychological strategies bulk billed under Medicare with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. We also provide victims counselling fully funded once a claim has been made through Victims Services, and veteran and family counselling through Open Arms once a claim has been made. Our services are designed to provide you with the support and guidance you need to overcome your challenges and improve your mental wellbeing.

As Accredited Mental Health Social Workers, we work with people across the lifespan, providing a holistic approach to working with individuals, families, groups, and communities. We use evidence-based strategies to address a range of mental health issues, including trauma, substance abuse, poverty, unemployment, homelessness, mental health issues, physical health issues, disability, child and family welfare concerns, family violence, trauma, and offending behaviour.
