At Gum Nut Preschool & Childcare, we believe that each day is an opportunity for children to grow and discover the world around them. Our centre consists of five rooms, catering to children from 6 months to 5 years of age. Our qualified and experienced educators work together to create a program that is rich in colour, creativity, and opportunities for self-expression. This program is designed to encourage children to build their confidence and develop a sense of who they are and their place in the world.

Our Services

At Gum Nut Preschool & Childcare, we offer a range of services designed to support the growth and development of our children and their families. These services include regular incursions and excursions, which are an integral part of our learning program. We also encourage parent participation in centre life and programs, recognizing the important role that parents play in their child's development.

Our centre is proud of its natural surroundings, which provide a unique and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn. Our large garden and playground offer ample opportunities for children to develop their physical skills and imagination, while our educators work to foster a sense of respect and appreciation for the natural world.

Our Rooms

At Gum Nut Preschool & Childcare, we have five unique rooms that cater to the different needs and stages of development of our children. Our rooms are designed to provide a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages children to learn and grow.

• The Possum Room (6 months to 1.8 years) provides a warm and welcoming environment for our youngest children, where they can learn and develop their basic skills in a way that is tailored to their individual needs and interests.
• The Wombat Room (1.8 to 2.4 years) provides a stimulating environment that encourages children to develop their problem-solving skills and creativity, while our educators work to foster a sense of independence and confidence.
• The Koala Room (2.4 to 3 years) provides a challenging and engaging environment that encourages children to develop their social and emotional skills, while our educators work to foster a sense of curiosity and exploration.
• The Magpie Room (3 to 5 years) provides a fun and interactive environment that encourages children to develop their communication and problem-solving skills, while our educators work to foster a sense of teamwork and collaboration.
• The Kinder Room (4 years) provides a government-funded kindergarten program that is designed to prepare children for formal schooling, while our educators work to foster a sense of independence and responsibility.

We Care about Our Community

At Gum Nut Preschool & Childcare, we believe that our role extends beyond the walls of our centre. We recognize the importance of giving back to our community, and we strive to make a positive impact through our fundraising efforts.

We have been involved in various fundraising initiatives, including supporting local and wider communities, native wildlife, Care Net, and Orangutans. These initiatives not only support the development of our children, but also help to develop their sense of empathy and responsibility towards others.
