At Farm Road Pre-school, we are a community-based sessional kindergarten that offers 3 and 4-year-old programs designed to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where children can learn, thrive, and develop to their full potential. Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is centered around the concept of "belonging, being, and becoming." We believe that every child deserves to feel a sense of belonging, being valued and respected for who they are, and becoming the best version of themselves. We provide an inclusive environment where children can develop confidence, social skills, resilience, cognitive development, and physical development through play-based learning experiences.
Our Programs
We offer two programs designed to cater to the unique needs of 3 and 4-year-old children. Our 3-year-old program is designed to provide a welcoming, caring, and nurturing environment where children can build self-confidence, develop friendships, and explore their curiosity. Our 4-year-old program is play-based and centered around the children's interests, with intentional teaching and activities designed to develop their skills, interests, and knowledge.
Our Teachers
Our team of teachers is experienced, dedicated, and passionate about working with young children and their families. Our director, Debbie Horner, has 25 years of experience in the early childhood sector and is committed to creating an inviting and happy environment for children to build their independence, communication, social skills, self-esteem, and confidence.
Our Facilities
Our kindergarten has undergone a major renovation, providing a larger indoor learning space and upgraded facilities. We are proud of our extensive and beautiful playground, which provides ample opportunities for outdoor play and exploration.
Our Commitment
We are committed to providing a high-quality program that meets the individual needs of each child. We believe in the importance of building positive and respectful relationships between children, families, and staff, and we encourage parents to be actively involved in the kindergarten program. We also acknowledge the traditional lands of the Bunurong people of the Kulin nation and strive to embed sustainability and cultural inclusion across our program.
