Our Story
For over 40 years, we, Bob and Carol Brooks, have called rural Forrest home. We made the bold decision to leave the city behind and start a dairy farm in this picturesque region. It was a challenging but rewarding experience that taught us the value of hard work, community, and the beauty of nature. When we decided to share our little piece of paradise with others, we transformed our home into Forrest River Valley B&B. Our goal is to provide a peaceful and relaxing getaway for couples seeking a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Our Accommodation
Forrest River Valley B&B offers two spacious self-contained studio units, each with its own private deck, perfect for enjoying the stunning views of the Otway Ranges. Our studios are designed for couples, with queen-size beds, comfortable seating areas, and stylish ensuites. Guests can enjoy a generous continental breakfast, which includes fresh juice, yoghurt, fresh fruit, toast bread, and spreads. We also provide a selection of teas, coffee, and milk.
Sightseeing and Activities
Located in the heart of the Otways, Forrest River Valley B&B is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding region. Just 30 minutes from the Great Ocean Road, our guests can visit the Otway Fly Treetop Walk, Cape Otway Lighthouse, and the 12 Apostles. For outdoor enthusiasts, Forrest offers magnificent walking trails, including the Tiger Rail Trail and the purpose-built walking tracks of the Great Otway National Park. Riders can bring their mountain bikes and ride the local trails or hire one locally. For the adventurous, there's the opportunity to zip-line through the Otway Fly and explore the majestic Otway National Park.

We offer two studio options: the Magpie Suite and the Blue Wren Studio. Both studios are designed for couples and feature queen-size beds, comfortable seating areas, and stylish ensuites. Each studio has a private deck with stunning valley views. The Magpie Suite is our premium option, with a tariff of $460 for a two-night stay. The Blue Wren Studio is a self-catering option, with a tariff of $400 for a two-night stay.
Getting Here
Forrest River Valley B&B is conveniently located at 135 Yaugher Road, Forrest, 3236. Guests can fly into Avalon Airport (AVV) or Melbourne Airport (MEL) and drive to the B&B. Local transport options include taxi services and car rentals.
