Welcome to Doncaster Kindergarten, where education and social development go hand in hand. We are a non-profit community service offering educational pre-school programs for families with young children. Our Mission
At Doncaster Kindergarten, we believe that all children have the right to experience the wonder of childhood, to grow and to investigate through rich quality play in a warm and respectful environment which reflects the diversity of our community. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that fosters creativity, socialization, problem-solving, and exploration.
Our Philosophy
We value every child as a unique individual and a capable learner. Each child has the right to be treated equally and with respect; regardless of race, culture, ability or gender. We are inspired by theorists Lev Vygotsky, John Dewey, and the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, and believe children are natural communicators who learn through collaboration with adults and peers, guided participation, and observation of others.
Our Services
We offer a range of programs and services designed to provide a holistic and engaging experience for children. Our programs are planned by educators based on areas of interest to the children, educators, and families, and the development of concepts and skills. We provide a combination of open-ended and educator-led experiences that promote creativity, socialization, problem-solving, and exploration. Our kindergarten provides an opportunity for pre-school aged children to participate in a program designed to promote their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth.

Our organisation is committed to child safety. We want children to be safe, happy, and empowered. We support and respect all children, as well as our staff and volunteers. We are committed to the safety, participation, and empowerment of all children. We have zero tolerance of child abuse, and all allegations and safety concerns will be treated very seriously and consistently with our robust policies and procedures.
Our Facilities
We are situated near the Westfield Shopping centre below the MC2 Library in a fully purpose-built modern building. Next to the kindergarten is the Early Years at MC2 childcare centre, which your children can be escorted to with permission. We offer a virtual tour of our facilities, so you can get a sense of our warm and welcoming environment.
Overview of Childcare Centre
The childcare centre in question has received mixed reviews from parents, with some expressing satisfaction with the kind and patient teachers, while others have had negative experiences with the management and certain staff members.
Space and Ventilation Issues
One parent has raised concerns about the small size of the centre and its poor ventilation, leading to a higher incidence of sickness and viruses among children. This parent has also questioned the prioritization of car parking spaces in the area over the well-being of children.
Management and Staff Issues
Two parents have expressed dissatisfaction with the management of the centre, citing poor organization, forgetfulness, and a lack of accountability. One staff member, Lily, has been specifically mentioned as being uncaring towards the children. These parents would not recommend the centre to others.
