Welcome to Prahran East Medical Centre, a family-owned practice that has been serving the local community for over 50 years. We pride ourselves on delivering expert and holistic General Practice healthcare with compassion and integrity. Our GPs possess post-graduate FRACGP qualifications, with experience and skills in all aspects of family medicine. Our areas of special expertise include women's and men's health, child health, dermatology, mole checks and skin cancer surgery, accident & emergency, antenatal care, travel medicine, internal medicine, and minor surgery.
Our practice is supported by two registered nurses, onsite podiatry, physiotherapy, psychology, pathology collection, and a neighboring pharmacy. We have full accreditation and use the latest computer technology to ensure the highest level of care. Our rigorous continuing education program, including research, education programs, IT, and our university collaboration, ensures that our doctors stay up-to-date with the rapid changes in medical science.
Staff at our Prahran clinic are fluent in Albanian, Greek, Macedonian, and Mandarin. We welcome people from all minority groups, including First Nations people and our LGBTQIA+ community. Phone Interpreters and the National Relay Service are available upon request. We are also an accredited teaching practice, training the doctors of tomorrow from the University of Melbourne.

Flu Vaccines: We offer private flu vaccines to help protect our patients from the flu.
Covid-19 Information: We provide up-to-date information on Covid-19, including testing and vaccination.
Antivirals for Vulnerable Patients: If you test positive for Covid-19 and are considered vulnerable, we can arrange medication delivery to your home via telehealth.
General Practice: We offer all aspects of General Practice, including women's and men's health, child health, dermatology, minor surgery, accident & emergency, antenatal care, travel medicine, internal medicine, and nursing care.
Allied Health: Our practice includes onsite psychology, podiatry, and physiotherapy services.

Negative Experiences

One reviewer had a terrible experience with a doctor who prescribed inappropriate medication, leading to severe health complications. The reviewer was later abandoned by the doctor, leaving them without proper care and feeling hopeless. Another reviewer witnessed a significant decline in the clinic's quality after several doctors left, resulting in unprofessional and unhelpful advice from the remaining staff.
