Welcome to Maroubra Veterinary Hospital, a leading veterinary practice located in the heart of Pagewood, NSW. Our hospital has been providing the highest standards of care for pets since 1996, when it was purchased by our principal veterinarian, Dr Adam Gordon. We are a privately owned and operated hospital, committed to using the most up-to-date technology and equipment to provide a full range of veterinary services.

Our hospital is comprehensively equipped and open seven days a week, with weekday hours from 8.00 am to 7.30 pm and weekend hours from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Saturdays and 9.00 am to 1.00 pm on Sundays. We understand that your pet is precious, and we are committed to providing the best possible care to keep them happy and healthy.

Our Team

Our team of experienced veterinarians and support staff are dedicated to providing the best possible care for your pet. Our principal veterinarian, Dr Adam Gordon, is a highly respected veterinarian who has been providing care to pets in the Eastern Suburbs for over 25 years. Dr Gordon has completed a Masters Degree in Veterinary Studies and has further studies in orthopedic surgery, cruciate ligament surgery, diagnostic ultrasound, and advanced echocardiography.

Our other veterinarians include Dr Justine Moses, who has over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine and has a special interest in emergency and critical care medicine. We also have Dr Annabelle Fulmer and Dr James De Lucia, both of whom are recent graduates from the University of Sydney with a passion for providing the best possible care for small animals.

Our support staff includes experienced veterinary nurses who are committed to providing the best possible care for your pet.

Cat Boarding & Puppy Pre-School

At Maroubra Veterinary Hospital, we offer cat boarding services for when you need to leave your feline friend in safe hands. Our cat boarding facility is equipped with comfortable cattery units, and our experienced staff provide personalized care and attention to each cat.

We also offer a puppy pre-school program, designed to provide socialization, obedience training, and basic manners for young puppies. Our puppy pre-school program is run by experienced trainers who are committed to providing a positive learning environment for your puppy.

Dr Adam Gordon - Owner & Principal Veterinarian

Adam first joined Maroubra Veterinary Hospital in 1991 and bought the practice in 1996 building it to be one of the most highly respected practices in the Eastern Suburbs. Adam, our Principal Veterinarian and practice owner, graduated from the University of Sydney in 1990 with Honors. He subsequently completed a Masters Degree in Veterinary Studies from Murdoch University in 2002. He has also completed further studies in orthopaedic surgery, cruciate ligament surgery, diagnostic ultrasound and advanced echocardiography. Adam has a passion for surgery as well as diagnosis and treatment of complex medical problems. He also enjoys performing diagnostic ultrasound including echocardiography and cardiology. Adam is also dedicated to continuing professional development and attends multiple veterinary conferences and workshops every year both in Australia and overseas. He is also a contributor to various veterinary periodicals. Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, rugby union and cricket. He is also Dad to a Bichon Frise called 'Leo', a Lop Eared Rabbit called 'Lucy', a MVH rescue cat 'Layla' and a chocolate Burmese kitten called Lord Louie. In 2019, Adam was awarded the Australia Day 'Community Service Award' for the local area and the MVH practice was a Finalist in the Randwick area Local Business Awards.
