The Association for Women in Insurance (Qld) Inc is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to enhance the position of women in the insurance industry through personal and professional development courses, seminars, and activities. With a growing membership of male and female industry professionals, our association continues to work towards facilitating networking opportunities, providing opportunities for members to develop their personal and professional goals, and allowing members to contribute to the future of the insurance industry.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a forum for professionals in the insurance industry to network, learn, and grow. We strive to provide access to papers on insurance-related topics, facilitate debate and discussion on insurance issues, and raise funds to enhance our objectives. We also recognize the achievements of members in the insurance industry and celebrate their successes.
Our Committee
Our committee is comprised of experienced professionals from various sectors of the insurance industry. Our President, Stephanie Huestis, is a Special Counsel at Carter Newell Lawyers, with a specialization in contractual liability and dual insurance issues. Our Vice President, Kristi Riedel, is a barrister with a broad commercial and civil practice, including expertise in insurance law.
Our Treasurer, Angela Rowe, is a Liability Underwriter at Epsilon Insurance, with 17 years of experience in corporate insurance. Our other Treasurer, Stephanie Fox, is a broker for Gallagher Insurance Brokers, with over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. Our Secretary, Monica Jaynes, is a lawyer and insurance manager at Downer, with experience in a wide range of insurance matters. Our Secretary, Danielle Davis, is a senior associate in the Professional Indemnity team at Barry Nilsson, with expertise in general insurance and commercial litigation. Our Sponsorship Coordinator, Rebecca Brewster, is an authentic leader with over 18 years of experience in the general insurance industry.
