The Central Coast Piano Studio is a premier institution for piano lessons, located on the beautiful NSW Central Coast. Our studio is led by pianist Carl Schmidt, who brings over 20 years of international teaching and performance experience to his students. With a dedication to providing excellence in piano tuition, students of all levels are welcomed and encouraged to develop their skills in a well-equipped and comfortable setting.
About the Studio
Our studio is home to a world-class Yamaha C7 Semi-Concert Grand Disklavier, the only one of its kind on the Central Coast. This state-of-the-art instrument allows for the recording and reproduction of student playing using midi technology, providing a unique and enhanced learning experience. The studio also boasts an extensive collection of historic piano roll recordings, which can be performed live by the Disklavier piano, offering a rare window into the past. Our air-conditioned studio is conveniently located between Erina Fair and Terrigal beach, and is easily accessible by bus.
Services Offered
At the Central Coast Piano Studio, we offer private piano lessons for children and adults, providing students with a solid foundation in keyboard skills and musicianship. Our teaching philosophy emphasizes excellence in tuition, resulting in continued student accomplishment, including successful university auditions and nominations for HSC 'Encore' performances. We also offer real-time lessons to anywhere in the world using Disklavier technology.
Additional services include consultation lessons for teachers and students, piano accompaniment, backing tracks, and recording. Our piano accompaniment and personalized backing tracks service allows for students to practice and perform with the sounds of a 9ft concert Steinway grand. We offer piano/forte piano/harpsichord accompaniment for all repertoire.
Historical Recordings
Our studio is home to an extensive collection of historic piano roll recordings, performed live by the Disklavier concert grand. These recordings provide a unique and educational experience, allowing students to hear the sounds of the past and appreciate the evolution of piano playing.
Recording Services
Our studio provides the opportunity for students to capture their own personal recordings with the sounds of a 9ft concert Steinway grand. These recordings can be converted to audio format using either the only officially authorized Steinway & Sons virtual piano ever released or a wide selection of other modern and historic instruments, providing students with a tangible record of their progress and accomplishments.
