Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy has been a pillar of the martial arts community in Ipswich, Queensland for over 20 years. Our academy is built on a foundation of traditional Wing Chun principles, combined with modern training methods and cutting-edge techniques. Our mission is to foster the development of Wing Chun Kung Fu, staying true to its original concepts and principles, while creating an environment that supports men and women from all walks of life to achieve excellence in the martial arts.

Our Story

Our origins date back to the early days of Wing Chun, with a lineage that includes Ip Man, William Cheung, and Rick Spain. Sifu William Geertsma, our chief instructor, has been learning and teaching Wing Chun for over 25 years, and has had the privilege of learning from some of the best in the business. Our academy is part of the Red Boat Kung Fu organization, owned by Rick Spain, and we are proud to be part of a larger community that shares our values and passion for martial arts.

Our Services

At Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy, we offer a range of classes and training programs for students of all ages and skill levels. From Little Dragons (ages 4-7) to adult classes, we cater to everyone's needs. Our classes are designed to improve physical fitness, self-defense skills, and mental awareness, while also promoting discipline, focus, and self-confidence. We also offer specialized training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Street Self-Defense.

Our Trainers

Our team of trainers is led by Sifu William Geertsma, a seasoned martial artist with over 25 years of experience. Our trainers come from a variety of backgrounds, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, Wing Chun, and Taekwondo. We are committed to continuous learning and improvement, ensuring that our students receive the best instruction and guidance.

Our Achievements

We are proud to have been voted Queensland's Best Martial Arts Academy, and our students have won multiple tournaments worldwide. We are also involved in our local community, working with schools and organizations to promote the benefits of martial arts training.
