About Us

Health and Home Safety Group is a passionate team of registered occupational therapists dedicated to empowering individuals throughout Brisbane, Logan, and Ipswich to live independently in their own homes. We provide comprehensive in-home assessments, recommendations, and hands-on support to address various challenges related to mobility, function, and accessibility.

Our Mission

Our mission is to collaborate with you to identify practical solutions that enhance your quality of life and maximise your potential for independent living. We work hand-in-hand with you to create tailored plans that address your unique needs and goals.

1. Assistive Technology Assessments & Solutions

We assess your needs and recommend appropriate assistive technologies such as mobility aids, grab bars, transfer aids, electric beds, scooters, and more. We'll also guide you through the process of securing funding through NDIS, DVA, or private insurance.

2. Functional Capacity Assessments

Through comprehensive assessments, we evaluate your ability to perform daily activities such as dressing, eating, and toileting. This helps us identify potential areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize your functional capacity.

3. Home Modifications

From installing ramps and stairlifts to bathroom modifications and grab bar installations, we can recommend and oversee necessary home modifications to create a safe and accessible environment.

4. Comprehensive Assessments

We offer various assessments, including SIL (Supported Independent Living) assessments, Functional Capacity Assessments, and Cognitive Assessments to assess your potential for independent living and identify areas for intervention.

5. Pre & Post Discharge Support

Whether you're recovering from an injury or undergoing rehabilitation, our occupational therapists can provide pre and post discharge support to ensure a smooth transition and safe return home.
