At Gateway Survey & Planning, we provide a wide range of services to meet all of your land development needs. Our town planning team has extensive experience in subdivisions and a range of other development applications including unit development, character houses, demolition and more.
In engineering and construction surveys, we offer services such as set out surveys, engineering design surveys, and as-built surveys to ensure accurate and efficient construction. Our cadastral surveys include standard format plans, building format plans, and volumetric subdivisions to accurately define and establish land boundaries.
In property development, we provide services such as feasibility studies, due diligence reports, and development applications to assist you in making informed decisions and achieving your development goals.
We have significant experience in the Council areas of South-East Queensland, and can assist with planning and development projects across the state. Our experienced team is equipped to handle projects of all sizes and complexity.
Our Team
Our team at Gateway Survey & Planning has a combined experience of over 100 years in town planning, surveying and property development. We come from a range of backgrounds which contributes to the breadth of experience and range of services we are able to offer.
Greg Hoonhout, our Managing Director, has over 40 years' experience in the surveying profession and has been responsible for the project management of many subdivision projects of various sizes. He has also gained extensive experience in engineering and mapping projects throughout the state.
Ellen McDonogh has gained vast experience in project management, town planning procedures and layout design, and has had extensive exposure to other fields of expertise such as environmental, geotechnical, civil and traffic engineering. Ellen is skilled in layout design having had much experience in large residential/commercial subdivisions and structure plans varying in size from hundreds to thousands of lots.
Brett Cronin joined the town planning team at Gateway in 2019. Brett has developed knowledge of the local planning scheme and Queensland planning legislation, and has obtained valuable insight into Council's internal processes. He is also skilled in drafting, structure planning, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) which are critical for larger scale subdivisions and site planning for commercial and residential development.
Brian McKeown joined the town planning team at Gateway in 2024. Brian has worked on a wide variety of projects throughout his professional career, ranging from large residential and commercial developments, transport infrastructure schemes, data centres, windfarms, and other projects, including sites in the UK and Saudi Arabia.
Mark Hoonhout, Steve McTegg, and Evan Morley are experienced surveyors who have gained significant surveying experience at Gateway Survey & Planning. They have worked on a variety of projects, ranging from standard format plans and building format plans to volumetric subdivisions, easements, set outs, identification surveys, and more.
