Our History
In 1952, our founder, Paul Caponecchia, migrated to Australia and began working on farms in the Myrtleford area. He eventually bought his own tobacco farm in 1966, which became a successful family business until the tobacco industry ceased in 2006. After exploring other farming ventures, Paul's sons, Rob and Frank, decided to diversify into growing quality turf. Today, as directors of Alpine Turf, they have taken responsibility and management control of the farm, making it what it is today.
