The Paringa Story
The story of Paringa Estate begins with Lindsay McCall, a geography teacher who experienced a "wine epiphany" after tasting a remarkable shiraz in a restaurant. This revelation sparked a transformative journey to establish a premium winery in the Mornington Peninsula. With unwavering determination, Lindsay acquired an old orchard and meticulously planted ten acres of vines, defying the skepticism of local experts who believed shiraz was unsuited to the region's climate.
