Our Services
We provide specialized consulting services in structural and civil engineering, including planning, project specification, tendering, and contract administration. Our expertise extends to low, medium, and high-rise commercial and industrial buildings, heavy industrial plant structures, precast concrete structures, heavy-duty industrial pavement and floor systems, stormwater management, and water-sensitive urban design. We also provide expert reports and project experience in various fields, including commercial, food and beverage, health, industrial, international, pharmaceutical, plant maintenance, retail, transport, distribution, and warehousing.
Our History
Our practice was established in 1980 as Davis Associates Pty Ltd and was renamed Davis Naismith & McGovern Pty Ltd in 1995. Over the years, we have grown and developed our skills through exposure to various consultancy roles in structural and civil design of industrial process plant facilities. In the 1990s, we expanded our services to the Asian market, undertaking projects in industrial, commercial, tourism, housing, and institutional developments in Malaysia, China, and Myanmar. Since the late 1990s, we have moved into more mainstream areas, including retail, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and health.
Our Team
Our practice is managed by four directors, Jon McGovern, Adam Bethune, Andrew MacDonald, and Anthony Askew, who are supported by nine technical and three administrative staff. Our team has a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects, and many of our key technical staff have been with us for over 15 years.
