Meet Our Team
At Embodied Psychology, you'll work closely with our experienced and caring clinicians who are dedicated to your growth and wellbeing. Our team includes:
- Dr. Joanne Thorburn, Clinical Psychologist, who has extensive experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and has a special interest in anxiety, depression, stress, and post-traumatic stress disorder/trauma.
- Suzana Bosevska, Practice Manager/Reception, who has almost 30 years of experience working in medical reception and private practice and is a warm and welcoming presence.
- Della Tanri, Provisional Psychologist, who is currently available to support assessment and intervention clients of all ages (i.e., children, adolescents and adults) in person or via telehealth.
- Tara Impala, Provisional Psychologist, who is commencing in July 2024 and will be available to support assessment and intervention clients of all ages.
About Our Principal Psychologist, Dr. Joanne Thorburn
Dr. Joanne Thorburn is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive knowledge and experience working with clients from various backgrounds, including rural and remote communities, people living with a medical condition or disability, clients from Indigenous and diverse cultural backgrounds, professional athletes, and members of the LGBTQIA community. Before becoming a clinical psychologist, Jo worked in banking and finance for over a decade and as a primary school teacher and literacy teacher in a secondary school setting. She is a former Barnado's Mother of the Year award recipient for the state of Victoria.
