Our Services
We offer a range of legal services, including Guarantor & Borrower Advice, Wills & Estate Planning, and Reverse Mortgages. Our Guarantor & Borrower Advice service provides independent legal advice and solicitor certificates for guarantors and borrowers, as required by many banks and other lenders. Our Wills & Estate Planning service includes preparation of Wills, Enduring Power of Attorney, and other estate planning documents. Our Reverse Mortgages service provides independent legal advice and solicitor certificates to borrowers for reverse mortgages and equity release/equity unlock loans.
Our History
Independent Legal was established in 2007 by Michael Menna, our principal solicitor. Michael completed a Bachelor of Laws with Distinction from the University of Western Australia in 2000 and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2002. Prior to establishing Independent Legal, Michael worked for several years at Perth law firm Solomon Brothers.
Our Office
Our office is centrally located in Leederville, Western Australia, making it easily accessible by public transport or car. We offer flexible appointment times, including after-hours and Saturday consultations, to accommodate our clients' busy schedules.
