Internal Polished Concrete

Polished concrete is considered a sustainable design flooring option that utilises materials already present in your floor. By revealing the aggregate within, there is no need for applying a floor covering. New concrete has a range of decorative mixes, using almost any colour combination of aggregate with cement to create a desired style or theme. Our polished concrete floors are seamless, durable, low-maintenance, and allergy-free - no foreign substances such as dust mites.

Process

We understand the importance of completing a project efficiently and to the highest standard. Our process is divided into two phases for both new builds and existing concrete floors. Phase one involves grinding the concrete to the desired level of exposure, followed by the application of a coating to provide protection to the concrete. Phase two involves the polishing process, which requires the property to be at 'lock-up', protected from the elements with ceilings and walls completed. This ensures a suitable surface is achieved, achieving the desired sheen at completion.

Burnished Concrete

Burnished concrete, also known as a surface polish with little to no stone exposure, is often chosen because of the integrity of the original concrete slab. We clean the surface and polish the existing concrete to create a creamy, smooth, neutral tone throughout the floors without any aggregate exposure. This process is most popular with new builds, as 80% of the final look comes from the original concrete pour.

Veneer

We developed our veneer product after years of crafting the perfect finish. Specifically designed to be applied over a concrete surface that was not completely finished by the original concreter to the required level of quality to achieve a burnish finish or to change the colour. This solution can also be applied to fibre cement sheeting, which is perfect for walls and other feature surfaces.

External Polished Concrete

Honed concrete for outdoors has the look and feel of a modern floor. It is versatile in its design and has the functionality of a hard-wearing, long-lasting, weed & slip-resistant surface. Easy to clean, honed concrete can withstand the harsh Australian climate, whilst keeping its decorative stylish colour and foot-friendly feel. Honed concrete is commonly used as an external product around pools, pathways, patios, driveways & entertainment areas. Commercially, honed concrete floors are used in public access areas, including walkways, stairs, common spaces, and entry foyers.
