Who we are

New Horizons Preschool is a Reggio Emilia-inspired learning environment in Battery Point and Lenah Valley, Tasmania. We believe in fostering a love of learning through exploration, collaboration, and awe-inspiring discovery. Our dedicated team of experienced educators empower young minds to become confident, capable individuals.

Our Mission Statement

New Horizons Preschool recognizes each child as a competent, creative citizen with a right to participate in an educational process that respects and builds relationships with others. We provide a unique, engaging environment that promotes collaboration, inquiry, and reciprocity. We strive to make visible our children's voices and make meaningful connections with our community.

Our People

At the heart of our program are highly qualified and experienced early childhood educators. Our educators have a deep understanding of the Reggio Emilia Educational Approach, Inquiry Pedagogies, and the Australian Early Years Framework. A specialist Atelierista (art teacher) also works alongside small groups of children.
