Burke & Wills Winery is a small family-run business located in the prestigious Heathcote Wine Region, owned and operated by winemaker and music entrepreneur Andrew Pattison and his wife Heather McCormack. With a focus on producing premium wines from their home vineyard, Andrew and Heather strive to create a range of quality wines that showcase the unique characteristics of the region.

A Passion for Wine and Music

Andrew Pattison, the founder of the winery, has a rich history in the wine industry. He founded Melbourne's famous 'eighties music venue The Troubadour and later owned Lancefield Winery in Victoria's Macedon Ranges. Andrew's passion for wine and music has led him to create a unique and intimate winery experience, combining his love of both worlds.

The Winemaking Process

At Burke & Wills Winery, the winemaking process is a labor of love. Andrew and Heather work closely together, with Andrew handling the winemaking duties and Heather overseeing the vineyard and lab testing. The couple's expertise and dedication to their craft have resulted in a range of award-winning wines that are highly sought after by wine enthusiasts.

One of Burke & Wills Winery's most popular wines is Mr. Burke's Favourite Big Red, a full-bodied red wine that is a blend of all the red varieties grown in their vineyard. This wine is a testament to the winery's commitment to quality and consistency, with a consistent supply of this popular wine.

Awards and Accolades

Burke & Wills Winery has received numerous awards and accolades for their wines, including the 2017 Premiers Award for Best Victorian Wine for their 2015 Vat 1 Shiraz. In 2023, their 2021 Dig Tree Cabernet Sauvignon won Gold in the Heathcote Wine Show, with other medal winners including the 2023 Gewurztraminer, 2018 & 2019 Vat 1 Shiraz, 2021 Mr. Burke's Big Red, and the 2017 Planter's Blend.

About Our Music

Burke & Wills Winery is also home to Troubadour Tunes, a co-production by Troubadour Music (Andrew Pattison) and DVO Media (Kieran Butler).
