Kensington Kindy & Child Care Centre

Welcome to Kensington Kindergarten and Childcare Centre, a privately owned spacious 2 room centre in Pimlico, dedicated to providing high quality care and education to children aged 12 months to 5 years of age. Our centre is committed to creating a warm, caring and safe environment where your child can learn and develop to their full potential. We value the importance of building strong supporting relationships between educators, children and families, and we welcome families and the community to participate in our programs and provide their input. Our centre is open at all times for families to drop in, and we encourage you to join our programs and share your ideas.

Our Programs

At Kensington Kindy, we offer programs that are planned by our experienced and qualified educators to allow children to naturally develop and guide their own learning. We use the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), a national framework for children from birth to 5 years, to ensure your child receives a quality educational program. Our educators work in partnership with families to develop learning programs that are responsive to children's ideas, interests, strengths and abilities. We believe that children learn through play and recognise the importance of Belonging, Being and Becoming in early childhood development.

Pre-Kindy (Ages 1-3 years)

Our Pre-Kindy program is designed for children aged 1-3 years, a critical time in their development where they develop essential skills through play and experimentation. During this stage, children begin to understand peer relations, turn-taking, separation and other important skills. We provide a safe and stress-free environment that encourages social interactions, recognition of possessions, self-help play, colours, blocks, cooking experiences, sensory experiences and more. Our experienced educators ensure that your child can develop their newfound independence with confidence.

Kindy (Ages 3-5 years)

Our Kindy program is designed for children aged 3-5 years, a time when children develop a real understanding of who they are and what they want. Our program focuses on articulating needs and the importance of learning and development. Children start to form their sense of identity, which shapes the type of adult they will become. Our experienced educators use the EYLF to create programs that are responsive to children's ideas, interests, strengths and abilities.
