Our History
Tenambit Medical Centre has a rich history, dating back to 1971 when it was first established by Dr. Gruda. Over the years, the centre has changed hands several times, with Dr. Lex Doornbos purchasing the practice in 1981 and moving the premises to 57 Maize Street. In 1989, the practice relocated to its current site, with expansions and updates in 1995. In 2010, Dr. Renee Bilkey and her husband John purchased the practice, introducing many improvements. In 2021, Dr. Tracy Markham and her husband Brett purchased the practice, continuing to provide high-quality care to the community.
Practice Background
Tenambit Medical Centre has been accredited to supervise and train GP registrars since 1989 and holds accreditation with AGPAL (Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited). We were nominated for Practice of the Year in 2011-2012.
