Our Services
We offer a range of expeditions to suit all divers, from 3 to 7-night trips, including Coral Sea & Cod Hole expeditions, Minke Whale Dive Expeditions, and Special Expeditions to remote locations. Our vessel, Spoilsport, is a custom-built liveaboard designed for diving, with a twin-hull design that maximises space, stability, and comfort.
Diving Information
Our dive masters and instructors are highly experienced and trained to provide guidance and support to divers of all levels. We offer dive courses and prices to suit your needs, as well as photo services and rebreather services for the more experienced diver. Our shark diving Australia program is a unique experience, and our critters and creatures program is designed to showcase the incredible marine life of the Great Barrier Reef.
Environmental Commitment
We recognize the importance of preserving the underwater environment and have long supported scientific research in marine biology. We've hosted researchers on board and collected data to support studies on minke whales, nautilus, and coral. We're committed to environmental conservation and have achieved Advanced Ecotourism accreditation.
Ship and Crew
The crew of the Mike Ball diving expeditions have been consistently praised for their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail. They have managed to make even the most challenging situations, such as a plane crash landing, run smoothly and efficiently. The staff are highly trained and cater extremely well to dietary needs.
Diving Experience
The diving expeditions offer a wide range of diving experiences, including night dives, drift dives, deep dives, wreck dives, shark feeding dives, and wall diving. The locations are often incredible, with clear waters, beautiful coral, and an abundance of sea life. Divers of all levels can participate, including photographers and those looking for more challenging dives.
Food and Accommodation
The food on the yacht is plentiful and delicious, with a great variety of options catering to different dietary needs. The accommodation onboard is comfortable, with a maximum of 20 guests (excluding crew).
Value for Money
While the cost of the expedition is high (approximately $2k for a 4-night trip), many reviewers felt it was well worth the investment for the incredible diving experiences and memories made.
Shark Feeding
One of the standout dives for many reviewers was the shark feeding dive, where divers can feed hundreds of sharks in a natural underwater amphitheater. This experience is truly unique and exhilarating.
