Bay Islands Car Share is a car sharing service based in Redland Bay, providing a fleet of late model automatic vehicles for the residents of the Bay Islands. Our mission is to make island living simpler, smarter, and more affordable by offering 24/7 access to a variety of vehicles, right at the Marina.
How It Works
Joining Bay Islands Car Share is a straightforward process. Begin by applying online, and upon approval, use your login details to book a car through our easy-to-use online calendar. You may book by the hour for quick errands or take advantage of our great daily rates for longer trips. Each car has a dedicated parking bay near the ferry terminal, making pick-up and drop-off a breeze.

Our Vehicles
We offer a range of vehicles to suit any need:
- Compact Cars: Our fleet of economical hatchbacks is perfect for running errands around town. Models include Kia Rio, Kia Picanto, Honda Jazz, Mazda 3, and more. All vehicles are automatic.
- Standard Cars: Roomy full-size passenger cars that comfortably seat 5 adults. This category includes Crossovers, Compact SUVs, and full-size sedans. Models Include Hyundai Kona, Subaru XV, Honda Cr-V, Mazda CX-5. All vehicles are automatic.
Booking and Pricing
Booking a car is simple - pay by the hour or by the day, not a combination of both. If you book by the hour, the cost will be the hourly rate plus $0.40 per kilometre travelled. An all-day booking includes 100km, and any additional kilometres will cost $0.40 per kilometre (over 100kms). Overnight trips up to 7 days can be booked through the app. For bookings longer than 7 days, please contact us.
With Bay Islands Car Share, you'll always have the car you want, when you want it. We offer flexible booking policies, and booking cancellations, edits, and extensions are free up to 24 hours before the start time. Changes made inside 24 hours will incur a $2 fee per hour.
