Our Story
Phillip Island Waterfront House is a luxurious accommodation property located on the stunning Phillip Island in Victoria, Australia. The property was originally designed by renowned architect Roberta Rees, with the objective of creating a truly unique and welcoming holiday home. The brief was to create a property that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and comfortable for large groups of friends and families.
The property was designed with the aim of providing an unparalleled beachfront experience, with breathtaking views of the Southern Ocean and the Bay. The curved rooflines were inspired by the rolling ocean waves and local sand dunes, creating a unique and striking feature of the property.
With a focus on passive solar principles, the living areas are designed to capture morning sun and provide shade during the warmer months. The property features large eaves to protect it from the elements and provide a sense of warmth and comfort.
Our History
The property was originally designed and built by five families who came together to create a holiday home that would rival none. The property was later sold to Cameron and Trish in December 2014, who have continued to uphold the original vision of creating a truly special holiday experience for their guests.
Cameron and Trish have a deep connection to Phillip Island, having spent many childhood holidays on the island and sharing their first date on its shores. They have brought their own family to the property, now welcoming visitors from all over the world to share in their love for the island.

Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Sensitivity Area
Phillip Island Waterfront House is located within an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Sensitivity area. The property was the original land of the Yalloc Bulluk clan of the Bunurong people, indigenous Australians of the Kulin nation.
We take our responsibility as custodians of this land very seriously and ensure that our operations are respectful of the local Aboriginal culture and heritage. We encourage our guests to do the same, taking the time to learn about and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of the Phillip Island region.
