Welcome to The Cottage, located in the heart of Scone, New South Wales. Our beautifully restored 1860s cottage is home to the Upper Hunter's newest and most exciting restaurant. Our story began with a vision to create a local gathering place where everyone can come together to enjoy great food, wine, and company. Our restaurant is fully licensed, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner services from Tuesday to Saturday, with a versatile layout that can cater to intimate gatherings and larger events alike.
Our History
The Cottage has been lovingly restored by Sydney businessman and local landowner Michael Crouch and his wife Shanny. The building has a rich history, having formerly served as a private hospital, the Kyeema Guest House, and more recently, the Pastoral Lands Board. Our team has worked tirelessly to maintain the original features and charm of the building, ensuring that every element of the restaurant is in line with its history and character.
