Port Macquarie Motorcycles is situated on the Mid North Coast and has been owned and operated by Christopher and Christine Dixon for the past 20 years. The business has a rich history, with Christopher and Christine first meeting while members of the St. George MCC back in 1970. Both competed in Short Circuit and Motocross club and open events, including the 6 Hour race held at Nepean raceway. Christopher competed in the Mr. MX Series back in the '70s and was one of the top A-grade motorcross Riders during that era in Australia, riding for Harry Macklin, becoming part owner of Macklin Motorcycles at Miranda in 1979, in the heart of the Sutherland Shire. He also competed in New Zealand and New Caledonia. During the '80s, Christopher decided to take up Road Racing, competing at Bathurst, Amaroo Park, and Oran Park, riding in such events as the 6 Hour race at Oran Park.

Our History

In 1990, Christopher and Christine sold their business in Miranda to Japan Motord and moved their family to Port Macquarie, where they started up Port Macquarie Motorcycles in October 1992. Over the years, they have held franchises for Yamaha, Triumph, Suzuki, KTM, Harley-Davidson, and Ducati. Their son, Jamie, joined the business five years ago and plays a major role in the spares and accessories department, becoming a major asset to the business.
