The Design Process

- Initial Site Consultation: A 60-90 minute face-to-face meeting with a member of our design team to discuss the client's space, style, and wishlist. We take the time to understand our clients' needs and develop a comprehensive understanding of the garden's full potential. We also provide realistic indications of the project's scale for the design and construction process.
- Site Analysis: A client brief and site analysis will be undertaken, which typically involves site analysis and measurement, base plan preparation, site photos, documentation of existing features, and soil testing. This collaborative process between Habitat and our clients allows us to gain a deep understanding of the site and its potential.
- Concept Design Development: Conceptual design work is developed from the client brief and site analysis process. This typically involves the development of preliminary and conceptual design drawings, material options for floor and walling surfaces, planting options and groupings, and a preliminary estimate of probable costs.
- Client Meetings & Concept Presentation: We present our concept design to our clients, discussing the design and making any necessary revisions.
Landscaping Design and Construction
Our comprehensive landscaping service includes the development of detailed and working construction plans for major structures such as swimming pools, decks, and pergolas, as well as the overall set-out of the project. This may also include garden lighting, drainage, finishes, and planting plans.
