Pelican Caravan Park is a peaceful getaway located along the beautiful Nambucca River. Our park boasts a tranquil atmosphere, removed from the hustle and bustle of the highway, with a stunning river view that will take your breath away. Our Accommodation
We offer a variety of cabins, sites, and facilities to ensure that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Our cabins range from Superior 1 and 2 Bedroom cabins to Deluxe 1 and 2 Bedroom cabins and standard cabins, all of which are equipped with modern amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
If you prefer to bring your own accommodation, we have riverfront powered sites, powered sites, and unpowered sites that cater to caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, campervans, and tents. Our riverfront powered sites are a popular choice, as they offer stunning views of the river and are pet-friendly all year round.
Amenities and Activities
At Pelican Caravan Park, we pride ourselves on the range of amenities and activities available to our guests. Our park features a private boat ramp, jetty, and pontoon, making it easy for guests to enjoy a day out on the water. We also have a pool with a wading pool, a riverfront camp kitchen, and free Wi-Fi.
If you're looking for something to do, we have a range of activities to keep you entertained. Fishing is a popular pastime at our park, with the Nambucca River known for its flathead and bream. We also have boat and fishing gear available for hire, so you can make the most of your time on the water.
If you prefer to stay on land, we have a range of golf courses, beaches, waterfalls, and other attractions nearby. Our park is an ideal base to explore the Nambucca Valley, Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, Dorrigo and discover the delights of the area.
Location
We are located at 1790 Giinagay Way, Nambucca Heads NSW 2448, just a short drive from the Pacific Highway. When entering our address into your GPS or phone, make sure you put the business name in front. If you have any difficulties locating us, you can try the old address, 5982 Pacific Highway.
Heading north, take the Macksville exit (Bald Hill Rd) and continue through Macksville. Pelican Caravan Park is on the right-hand side, roughly 10km from the Macksville exit. Heading south, take the Nambucca Heads turnoff, take the second exit at the roundabout and continue straight along Giinagay Way. Pelican Caravan Park is 7km on the left.

Advertising and Pricing Issues
Some guests have expressed frustration with the park's advertising and pricing. Jun Yoneda was disappointed to find that the park does not offer unpowered sites and was charged a higher price for a powered site. Shauna Wilson was overcharged for a riverside site, which was in poor condition after heavy rain.
Cleanliness and Maintenance
Therese Davis had a terrible experience with the cabin she was assigned, reporting a strong smell throughout the unit, dirty kitchen, and broken windows. She spent two hours cleaning the unit before she could even rest. In contrast, other guests have reported clean and well-maintained cabins.
Customer Service
Despite some negative experiences, many guests have praised the park's customer service. Amie Brown, Chantal Nichols, Finky Chen, Jason Murray, and Vanessa Moy all expressed gratitude for the friendly and helpful staff, from Sharon and Tony, the park owners, to Darren, the park manager, and Rebecca, the maintenance and housekeeping staff.
Other Issues
Some guests have reported issues with the park's amenities, such as Therese Davis's experience with the WiFi and phone reception. Vanessa Moy also mentioned that the local taxi service is unreliable.
