Where Children Grow and Thrive
At Geelong Children's Centre, we are a not-for-profit childcare provider dedicated to providing high-quality, professional care and education to individual children. Our team of experienced educators and caregivers work together to create a nurturing environment that fosters growth, development, and learning.
Our History
Geelong Children's Centre has a rich history of providing childcare services to the local community. Our journey began as a volunteer-managed, community-based long day care and government-approved kindergarten provider. Over the years, we have grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of our community, while remaining committed to our core values of providing high-quality care and education.
Our Values & Philosophy
At Geelong Children's Centre, we believe that culture and community play an important role in the development of positive, happy children. We believe that the best learning outcomes occur when families and educators work together, and that participation in our programs gives parents and families the opportunity to be part of a community focused on children's education and well-being. Our pedagogy encompasses a spirit of enquiry and professional dialogue, and we promote each child's agency, enabling them to make choices and decisions.
Our Team
Our team of educators and caregivers are dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality care and education to children. We believe that our team members are our greatest asset, and we invest in their ongoing professional development to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care and education to our children.
Our Facilities
Our centre is located in East Geelong, and we have recently renovated our facilities to provide a modern and stimulating environment for children. Our facilities cater for children from babies to preschool age, and we have a range of programs and activities designed to meet the individual needs of each child. Our outdoor play areas and community garden are an integral part of our curriculum, providing children with opportunities to explore, learn, and develop in a natural environment.
Our Programs
We offer a range of programs and activities designed to meet the individual needs of each child. Our programs are based on the Early Years Learning Framework, and we focus on providing a child-centred approach to learning and development. We have programs for babies, toddlers, and preschool-age children, and we work closely with families to ensure that each child's needs are met.
