Dance Some Joy into Your Life!

Welcome to Leichhardt House, a small and personal medical practice located behind the Southtown Shopping Centre in Centenary Heights, Toowoomba. Our practice is run by a husband and wife team, Dr Bob Jones and Dr Kym Butt, who are dedicated to providing comprehensive general practitioner services to our community. We are committed to delivering high-quality medical care, and we achieve this by maintaining a personal and friendly approach with each patient.

Our Team

Our team of doctors and staff are passionate about providing the best possible care for our patients. Dr Bob Jones is a qualified general practitioner with interests in paediatrics, men's health, minor skin cancer surgery, and geriatrics. Dr Kym Butt is also a qualified general practitioner with special interests in women's and children's health, and holds certificates in Women's Health and Family Planning. Dr Russell Domrow, who joined our practice in 2017, enjoys all aspects of general practice, with special interests in chronic disease management, paediatrics, skin cancer management, and travel medicine.

Our practice is also staffed by two experienced receptionists, Megan and Karla, and two registered nurses, Jill and Sonia, who are all dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Services

At Leichhardt House, we offer a full range of general practice services, including pregnancy shared care, paediatrics, men's and women's health, aged care, and chronic disease management. We also offer telehealth consultations, which provide a convenient and safe way to receive medical attention from the comfort of your own home.

Our practice is fully accredited by GPA Accreditation Plus, and we are committed to providing the highest standards of patient care. We believe that every patient deserves a personal and caring approach, and we strive to deliver this in every aspect of our practice.

Respiratory Illnesses

We understand the importance of taking precautions when it comes to respiratory illnesses, such as the flu, COVID-19, and other coughs and colds. To minimize the risk of infection, we require patients with respiratory symptoms to notify us in advance so that we can take necessary measures to prevent transmission to high-risk patients.

In most cases, patients with respiratory symptoms will be assessed through an initial telehealth consultation, which can help to eliminate the risk of infection transmission. If necessary, we also have an outdoor private area available for patients to be assessed in person.

Fees and Appointments

Our practice offers a range of appointment times to suit your needs, from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, except on Wednesdays when we are available from 8:30am to 12:30pm. We also have after-hours arrangements in place, including the National Home Doctor Service, which is bulk-billed and available 24/7.

Infection Control

At Leichhardt House, we take infection control very seriously. We ensure that all needles, syringes, and other medical equipment are single-use items that are discarded after use. We also sterilize instruments used for suturing wounds and surgical excisions using autoclaves, and ensure that all equipment used in patient care is properly sanitized.
