History
Peninsula Curtains and Blinds began in 1980 as a small business founded by Vic Bedin. The instant popularity of this concept saw additional staff join the team and a new location. This was the start of a promising family business that continues today. A year later in 1981, at just 16 years old, Vic's son Mark joined the team at Peninsula Curtains and Blinds. Mark's first job in the business was to cut the aluminium, which was used to manufacture roller blinds and vertical blinds. As the business grew, Mark began to fill other roles in the company, including manufacturing blinds, soft furnishings, and installing. Vic then taught his son the art of decorating and colour coordination, and with this, Mark went on the road of measuring and quoting. Mark was now involved in the entire process of an order, from measuring and quoting a job to manufacturing, installing, and following up with clients.
The Team
Our team at Peninsula Curtains and Blinds consists of dedicated and experienced professionals who share a passion for design and decoration. Jasmyn has been in the interior design and window industry for two years, with a passion for design and decoration. Brad has been a decorator with Peninsula Curtains and Blinds for over 20 years, with years of experience and unrivaled knowledge. Courtney has been a part of the team for over 8 years, bringing a fresh and contemporary approach to design. Hayley, also a third-generation Bedin, has been a part of the team for over 5 years, bringing a youthful and innovative perspective to the business.
