Scam Alert: Rude Chinese Owner Rips Off Worker
The review is about a worker who visited a job advertised on Gumtree, only to be mistreated by the Chinese owner. The owner was extremely rude from the start, insisting on an hour-long trial and claiming the job would be paid through tax. However, the worker was forced to work for five hours without pay, and when they refused the owner's offer of $14 per hour in cash, the owner failed to pay them for their extra work.
Unprofessional Behavior
The owner's behavior was unprofessional and dishonest, claiming one thing and then doing another. The worker was left feeling frustrated and underpaid, and has even made a report to the government in hopes that action will be taken.
