G J Freight

GJ Freight is a family-owned and operated business that was established in 1992 by the Stewart family. Initially, the company started with just two 8-tonne trucks and provided transportation services for Visy Board Pty Ltd from Donnybrook to the lower South West and Margaret River area, with occasional trips to O'Connor in Perth. Over the years, the company has expanded its customer base significantly through business development and the acquisition of GTS Transport in 2005.

GJ Freight now handles fresh produce, wine, and general cartage out of Donnybrook and surrounding areas. The company has also expanded with its NorWest and Mining divisions, providing services to larger companies across Western Australia. The company's head office is located in Donnybrook, Western Australia, at 90 Collins Street. Our office hours are 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 12pm - 4pm on Sundays. Servicing Areas and Transportation Options

GJ Freight offers a range of transportation options to accommodate its many customers' requirements. We service areas within the South West, the Great Southern, and have daily trips from Bunbury to Perth. Our depot in Bunbury, located at 9 Sylvan Way, Davenport, can organise your pickup and delivery needs and have daily trips to Perth. We also offer customers short and longer-term storage facilities. Our depot in Perth allows customers to drop off items for transport, which can be picked up by our trucks on a daily basis.

Storage Facilities

GJ Freight has a storage facility on Hurst Road in Argyle, Donnybrook. This facility provides both cool store and dry storage. Our controlled atmosphere and cool storage facility is available for growers, while wine storage is available for wineries and general dry storage for other customers.

Company History

Since our beginning in 1992, GJ Freight has developed and expanded our services to current levels. For Visy, our original customers, we now run two trucks daily from O'Connor and have up to three trucks daily servicing Visy's delivery requirements in the South West. We have also broadened our scope of works through Visy by becoming distributing agents for their various packaging solutions, available to customers through our Donnybrook depot.

Policies and Accreditation

GJ Freight meets all the requirements to maintain our Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Accreditation and HACCP Accreditation. These accreditations are available for download by clicking on the associated link. Our heavy vehicle drivers comply with the Work Safety and Health Act 2020, the Work Safety and Health Regulations, and relevant codes of practice. All drivers adhere to company policy for fatigue management and are required to document daily their hours of work and rest to ensure the workforce is operating within safe practice guidelines. All staff follow correct procedures for identification, risk assessment, and risk control.
