FAQs
Do we offer phone or online (Telehealth) sessions?
Yes, we do offer phone or online sessions (Telehealth) for all clients. Clients who have a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP are eligible for the standard Medicare rebate per session (10 sessions per calendar year). Private clients and NDIS clients will be subject to standard fees for telehealth sessions. WorkCover clients are eligible for telehealth sessions as long as the injured worker and the claim manager agree to these services.
Can you provide reports for court?
We do not have a specialist Psychologist who provides medico-legal reports for court. However, all Psychologists are able to provide a treatment report for court purposes, to confirm that you have been attending sessions.
Can we see clients under NDIS?
Yes, we can see clients under the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). However, we can only see clients who are self-managed or plan-managed. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to see clients who are specifically managed by the NDIS.
What age groups do you see?
We can see adults, adolescents, and children aged above 12 for individual sessions. For young children under 18 months, issues are usually resolved with parents having sessions without the child.
What is a Mental Health Care Plan?
Medicare rebates are available to clients for selected mental health services provided by Psychologists. In order to access this rebate, a GP needs to complete a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) which outlines your issues, goals, and the treatment required. A GP usually requires a longer consultation time to complete the plan.
