Empowering individuals with disability to live their best lives
At Brighter Access, we are committed to supporting individuals with disability, and their families, to have choice, opportunity, inclusion, and acceptance in their community. We take a person-centred approach to our care, ensuring that everything we do strongly aligns with our vision, mission, and values. Our organisation was established in 1979 by a group of parents who saw the need for mutual support and the necessity of having regular breaks from the responsibility of caring for a family member with disability.
Over the years, we have grown and expanded our services throughout New South Wales, focusing on the New England, Hunter, Central Coast, and Mid North Coast regions. Despite our growth, we still maintain the values of our small, homegrown beginnings, and we are proud of our ability to provide individualised support to each of our participants. Our open-minded outlook and willingness to think outside the box allow us to provide tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each individual and family.
Our Services
We offer a range of services designed to support people with disability, and their families, to live their best lives. Our services include:
- Accommodation: We provide specialist accommodation and Supported Independent Living options that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each participant.
- Specialist Supports: Our team of experts provides specialist services such as Behaviour Supports and Plan Management to support participants to achieve their goals.
- Activities of Daily Living: We offer centre-based, in-home, and community and social support to assist participants with daily living activities.
- Early Childhood Early Intervention: Our Early Childhood Early Intervention program provides support to parents and carers of children aged 0-6 who have additional needs.
Our Approach
At Brighter Access, we believe in taking a person-centred approach to our care. We work closely with each participant and their family to understand their unique needs and goals, and we develop tailored solutions that meet those needs. Our staff are committed to providing support that is flexible, responsive, and tailored to each individual's requirements. We believe in empowering participants to take control of their lives and to make their own choices about the support they receive.
Our Values
Our vision, mission, and values are at the heart of everything we do at Brighter Access. We are committed to upholding our responsibility as an organisation to provide support that is aligned with our values of choice, opportunity, inclusion, and acceptance. We believe in working collaboratively with participants, their families, and other stakeholders to achieve our vision of a inclusive and accepting community.
