Our Story

Founded in 1986 by Jan Hacansson, our company was built on a foundation of craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail. With a background in craftsmanship and training in Sweden in 1975, Jan brought his expertise to Melbourne, determined to create the highest quality retail, cafe, restaurant, and commercial shop fitting and fit out services. Today, we have an outstanding track record in retail fit outs and shop fitting, especially with shopping center tenancies, in either food-related or retail situations.

Our Commitment

At Hacansson Shopfitting, we believe that a fit out, when properly constructed, should last at least one full lease term (5-6 years). With minimum repair and minor refurbishment, it should last a further lease term. To achieve this, we only use correct materials and installation methods, avoiding shortcuts that can prove costly in the long term. We work closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and provide a bespoke solution that meets their requirements and exceeds their expectations.
