The resort is built around the historic winery building that dates back to 1852, making it a significant site in South Australia's wine history. Reynella is known as the birthplace of the first grape vine plantings in South Australia, and the township was named after the original winery builder, Walter Reynell. Today, this historic building serves as a popular conference venue for businesses from all around Australia and one of South Australia's premier wedding venues.
