Lipscombe Park Kindergarten

Lipscombe Park Kindergarten is a not-for-profit incorporated association operating a community-based sessional kindergarten program for three and four-year-old children. Our kindergarten is staffed by highly qualified, dedicated, and experienced educators who are committed to providing a high-quality early childhood education program. We are proud to be managed by a Committee of Management, which is comprised of volunteer kindergarten parents who are dedicated to the ongoing success of our program.

In 2021, Lipscombe Park Kindergarten underwent a National Quality Standard Assessment & Rating visit conducted by staff from the Department of Education & Training. We were thrilled to receive an overall rating of "Exceeding National Standards" in six out of seven key areas, which is a testament to the quality of our program and the hard work and dedication of our staff and management committee.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Lipscombe Park Kindergarten, we acknowledge that we operate on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri Tribe of the Kulin Nation and pay our respects to their elders, past, present, and emerging. Our philosophy is centered on the belief that parents, carers, and educators play an essential role in working together to help children develop the skills, attitudes, and behaviors needed to succeed at school and throughout life.

We believe that each child's journey is unique and valuable and that our program should focus on providing a high-quality experience for each child and their family. Our program is underpinned by a family-centered practice approach, which acknowledges the rights and interests of children, and respect for all cultures.

We believe that play is a precious thing to do and that children learn best through firsthand experiences that are relevant to them. We encourage children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and think their thoughts. Our program combines intentional teaching and child and family-initiated programming, which provides a rich and engaging learning environment for all children.

OUR SERVICES

At Lipscombe Park Kindergarten, we offer a sessional kindergarten program for three and four-year-old children. Our program is designed to provide a high-quality early childhood education experience that is tailored to the individual needs and interests of each child.
