Our History

Cool Green Horticulture was founded in 2002 by Alex and Sandra Hoy, with a mission to provide exceptional plant supply, horticultural consulting, landscape design, and garden maintenance services to the Canberra and ACT region. Since then, we've built a reputation for delivering personal service, professional quality, and horticultural expertise that sets us apart from the rest.

Our Expertise

Our team's industry expertise is second to none. Alex, our founder, completed his trade certificate in Horticulture at Rodneys Nursery in Pialligo and gained valuable experience in the wholesale side of the industry at Yarralumla Nursery. We're proud to be certified members of the Landscape Contractors' Association of NSW Ltd and regularly work with leading landscape architects and landscapers in the region.

Wholesale Nursery

Our modern wholesale nursery facility in Wamboin is a key component of our operations. We grow and hold a wide range of high-quality, cold-tolerant plants, with an emphasis on varieties that have a proven track record of reliability in Canberra's extreme climate. We also actively source plants from quality wholesale growers between Sydney and Melbourne, ensuring our clients have access to the best possible selection.

Horticultural Services

We offer a comprehensive range of horticultural services, including garden design, plant variety selection, irrigation and fertiliser program development, and general garden maintenance. Our team provides expert advice and guidance every step of the way, ensuring our clients receive the best possible outcomes for their landscaping projects. We also provide a complete professional planting service to ensure our clients' plants are planted correctly and given the best chance to grow quickly and healthily.
