Carlo's Upholstery is a family-owned and operated business based in the Melbourne suburb of Thornbury, specialising in complete furniture restoration, upholstery, furniture polishing, and custom designed furniture pieces. With over 25 years of experience in the upholstery and restoration of traditional and modern furniture, Carlo and his team have mastered the intricate workmanship and specialist skills required for antique and traditional furniture, which have been passed down from Carlo's father, an upholsterer for over 40 years. Carlo's Upholstery takes orders for custom-made furniture designs and creations from both domestic and commercial clients, providing high-quality and personalised services.

Carlo grew up in a small upholstery workshop in Station Street, Fairfield, where he watched his father create unique patterns for each chair. From a young age, Carlo was fascinated by the art of creating patterns, cutting, sewing, and understanding handcrafted restoration. This passion and fascination grew over the years, and Carlo eventually opened his own workshop over a decade ago. Today, Carlo has built relationships with many inspirational clients in Antique and Retro retail shops, working as Interior Decorators and Architectural Designers, which he values and enjoys working with.
