Important Information About Concrete
Before placing your concrete order, there are a few important things to keep in mind. First and foremost, decorative concrete products require greater attention and measures during placement and finishing beyond that of regular concrete. We recommend consulting with a BSA Approved Concreter about the requirements specific to your project.
It's also important to plan ahead when ordering decorative concrete. Because these products use speciality ingredients, we require a minimum of two working days notice from the date the order is placed with Q-crete. We also recommend using joints to reduce the chances of cracking and double-checking the product when it's delivered to ensure that it meets your satisfaction.
Finally, it's essential to remember that adding water beyond the prescribed slump can cause a loss of strength and lead to cracking, bleeding, and/or dusting issues. We recommend using quality concrete sealing, finishing, or exposing agents to improve the appearance, protect against weathering, and extend the life of your concrete.
