At Knappstein Winery, we're proud of our rich heritage and our reputation as one of the most recognisable and popular Clare Valley wineries. Our cellar door is open for tasting 7 days a week, from 10am to 4pm, and we invite you to come and explore our award-winning wines.

Our History

Established in 1974 by Tim Knappstein, our winemaking focus has always remained on showcasing the quality of fruit from the individual soils and climates of the local vineyards. We believe in respecting the individual growing sites, to create wines with identity and personality, shown through their expression of varietal and regional attributes. Our winemakers act as guardians of the vines, and caretakers of the wines, with attention to detail and a stringent quality focus at the heart of our winemaking approach.

Our Services

We offer a range of services, from wine tastings to guided tours of our vineyards. Our cellar door is open 7 days a week, and we welcome bookings for private events and functions. We also have an online wine shop, where you can purchase our award-winning wines and have them delivered straight to your door. Our Wine Club is a great way to stay up-to-date with our latest releases, news, and events, and to enjoy exclusive special offers.
